We are looking for a highly driven, talented, and self-motivated Transmission DWDM Engineer.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Transmission DWDM Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain DWDM networks, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability for telecommunications transmission systems. As a key part of our operations, youll work on cutting-edge projects involving Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), providing solutions that enhance our networks capability and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation: Design, plan, and implement DWDM transmission networks to meet business and client requirements.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular network maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and execute changes or upgrades as needed.
- System Integration: Integrate new equipment and technology into existing transmission systems, ensuring compatibility and minimal service disruption.
- Monitoring and optimization: Analyze network performance data, identifying and implementing optimizations for greater efficiency and quality.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Certifications: Active Huawei HCIA Transmission certificate will be considered a serious advantage.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with DWDM technologies in a telecommunications environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting DWDM equipment from leading vendors.
- Understanding of fiber optics principles and transmission fundamentals.
Additional Technical Skills:
- Experience with SDH networks will be considered a serious advantage
- Familiarity Ethernet / IP networks – will be considered an advantage
